Project Description
This project involved demolishing the existing brick arch structure and installation of a 42′ span by 20′ rise twin leaf arch culvert over the Third River in Nutley, NJ. This project was completed in 8 months under strict oversight by the New Jersey State Historic Preservation Office. Along with highly skilled work forces erecting this technical project, Pillari Bros. partnered with Essex County Engineering Dept. to value engineer construction of retaining walls and parapets due to existing overhead utilities that could not be relocated.
